Prescription Facial Skin Care Products

When I first heard about Obagi skin care products, I was so relieved that there was something out there in the world of facial skin care products that might actually work for me.

To give a little bit of background, I had spent years trying to fine-tune my face skin care routine. I’d tried just about every product on the market and was miserably failing in finding one that worked for me. I didn’t mind when I was younger; after all, plenty of girls my age still had problem skin. As I aged however, it was truly embarrassing to be showing signs of aging while still having issues with my skin breaking out. Face skin care doesn’t have to be rocket science, as I soon learned.

what causes wrinkles
The Obagi skin care products are available only by presciption for those whose skin conditions meet certain requirements. Using Rentin-A and hydroquinone to resurface and lighten the skin, the results actually mimic the results of microderm abrasion, only in fewer treatments. You get the same results from the Obagi NuDerm system with only three treatments as you would with twice, maybe even three times as many microderm abrasion treatments. The results are longer lasting too. I found that with chemical resurfacing (rather than having the skin literally peeled off your face) you can have some of the same experiences, such as temporary redness or discomfort, but ultimately these small issues pale in comparison to how wonderful it is to finally have your face look and feel like you’ve always wanted it to.

The Obagi skin care products work by speeding cell turnover through the use of the ingredients Retina-A, phytic, and AHA acids. The resulting peeling of the skin stimulates elastin and collagen production, which helps your skin to look young again. I never thought I could feel so fresh-faced, but that was because I never had before. I’ve also learned a lot more about how to take care of myself in a way that supports my skin. I never realized how much of a difference being well-hydrated made. I had heard all my life that you needed to drink at least eight glasses of water each day, but I had never really connected my skin’s dryness with dehydration.

All in all, I would tell anyone who feels like there is no hope for their skin and hasn’t tried prescription facial skin care products to go ahead and take that plunge. You have to be careful when using such potent products, but when you use them properly, the results can be amazing!

Thanks for your article! I really enjoyed reading it. Up until now i didn’t know anything about Obagi products, despite having done alot of anti wrinkle cream research myself, but had only heard of the name out and about in other skin care forums. Explaining how the product works really helps in my confidence to use the products, which is important as we all know preventative anti aging measures can only go so far.

I was just chatting with my coworker about this today at the resturant. Don’t remember how we got on the topic really, they brought it up. I do recall having a excellent fruit salad with sunflower seeds on it. I digress…
