How To Get Rid Of Whiteheads
A whitehead is a collection of sebum and keratin that plugs the opening of the pilosebaceous unit (skin pore) and imbeds itself in the follicular canal under the skin so that it looks like a raised, white bump. It is also often called as a closed comedone.
The whiteheads appear in the form of tiny, pearly white raised spots. They are common in the area just above the cheekbones, where the skin is fine. On oily skins, they may appear as part of a problem skin condition, along with blackheads, pimples and acne.
Using home made scrubbers made from fruit peels, such as orange peels dried in the sun and powdered, mixed with rosewater and milk cream and applied to the skin, not only makes the skin clear, but smooth as well by removing the whiteheads. Don’t let the paste dry completely, it is to be washed off when half dried by rubbing in the opposite direction to remove dead skin cells and remove whiteheads. Rubbing lemon peel also helps reduce the occurrence of whiteheads.
Exfoliate the skin with mild facial scrub or exfoliator. Do not use hard exfoliators; it may damage your skin and cause facial skin scarring. Use alpha hydroxyl acid or beta hydroxyl acid creams to help clear dead skin and unclog the skin pores. It may take a while to get rid of whiteheads before a clear skin comes out, it is therefore necessary that you be patient.

Do not try to fast track it by popping the whitehead, they may damage your skin and subject your face to infection. It may also spread the infection to other parts of your face that will lead to bigger problem.
Avoid wearing normal make-up. Now personally I don’t know alot about make-up. But what I do know is this; normal make-up isn’t oil free, so the make-up can actually get into the pores and start producing more sebum. So try and use oil-free make-up products. And before you go to bed make sure you wash off the make-up from your face.
Eat alot of fresh fruit and drink alot of water, this help clears away the toxins from your body, which can help in the removal of whiteheads.
Whiteheads are persistent. They appear in the same places and don’t seem to leave. You have to be extra careful when dealing with whiteheads because they have a potential to grow to full sized cystic acne that can be painful. Just another tip, remember not to use anything that is supposed to tighten your pores when you have a lot of whiteheads. I found that it makes the whiteheads worse. You should use the pore tightening products after you have extracted the whiteheads or gotten rid of them to tighten the pores and prevent whiteheads, not when you have them.
As you may know, getting rid of whiteheads is a common chronic skin disorder that affects millions of people of every age, gender, and race. Remember you are not alone when it comes to pimples. In fact, almost ninety percent of the world’s total populations are victims of acne. This is why so many people are asking how to get rid of whiteheads.
